What Can You Drink While Intermittent Fasting?

While you are doing intermittent fasting you can drink water, herbal tea, black coffee and other non-caloric beverages.

It is important to drink enough water and manage your hunger without consuming a lot of calories while you are doing fasting. Here are some drinks that won’t interfere with your fasting: 

  • Water
  • Herbal tea: Chamomile or ginger tea are hydrating and soothing drinks that can be consumed during fasting periods. 1 Just be careful of any added sweeteners or ingredients that may contain calories.
  • Black coffee: Black coffee has no calories and can help reduce your appetite and increase your metabolism.Be just cautious of adding sugar, milk or creamers as they can provide calories and break your fast.
  • Green tea: Green tea contains antioxidants and compounds that may help you lose weight and burn fat.Choose plain green tea without any added sugars.
  • Sparkling water: Sparkling water is another calorie-free option that can help you satisfy your cravings for carbonated drinks without breaking your fast.

It is essential to pay attention to your body and drink beverages that help you stay hydrated and manage your hunger during fasting periods.
