How Can I Eat More Protein?

You can eat more protein by including protein-rich foods in every meal such as legumes, tofu, tempeh, nuts, seeds and protein-rich grains like quinoa.

Eating more protein can be easy if you make some simple changes to what you eat and how you plan your meals. Here are some ways you can increase your protein intake:

  1. Have some protein with every meal. For breakfast you can try having chickpeas, scrambled eggs, soy yogurt or a smoothie with protein powder. For lunch and dinner add tofu, tempeh or legumes to your meals.

  3. Add protein to your salads and grain bowls. Make your salads and grain bowls more nutritious by adding grilled tofu, quinoa, chickpeas, lentils, or edamame beans.
