What Fruits have Protein?

While fruits are not typically high in protein compared to other food groups, some fruits such as guava, avocado, apricot, kiwi or blackberries contain small amounts of protein.

Fruits are packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants but they’re not typically known for being high in protein. However, some fruits do contain small amounts of protein.

  • Guava contains approximately 2.6 grams of protein per 100 grams. In addition to protein guava is rich in vitamin C, fiber and it contain various antioxidants.1
  • Avocado contains approximately 2 grams of protein per 100 grams. Avocado is also high in healthy fats (especially monounsaturated fats).2
  • Apricots contain approximately 1.4 grams of protein per 100 grams. Apricots are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C and potassium.3
  • Kiwi: Kiwi contains approximately 1,1 grams of protein per 100 grams. Kiwi is high in vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber.4
  • Blackberries contain approximately 1.4 grams of protein per 100 grams. Blackberries are also rich in antioxidants such as anthocyanins.
