How To Test Gut Health

You can test your gut health through microbiome testing. There are many different gut health tests on the market, each offering their own reports and analyses.

In general, the majority of gut health tests follow a similar process.

How to test gut health:

  1. Collect a stool (poop) sample using your testing kit.
  2. Send it to the lab.
  3. The lab sequences your sample, providing raw data.
  4. Bioinformatics analyses is carried out to determine the types of microbes and species abundance in your sample.
  5. You get your gut health report, which details what your microbiome looks like, and how this compares to a healthy reference range.
