How Much Protein is in Avocado?

Avocado contains approximately 2 grams of protein per 100 grams.

Avocado is rich in healthy fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals, but it is not primarily known for its protein content. A 100 gram serving of avocado contains 2 grams of protein.1 Although the protein content is not high compared to other plant-based protein sources such as legumes, tofu or nuts, avocado provides important nutrients as well. Avocado is a good source of dietary fiber, potassium, vitamin K, vitamin E and folate.1 Even though avocado is not a significant source of protein, it is still a wonderful fiber-rich, healthy food to include it as a part of a balanced diet.
